Matt Marcus is President of New Horizon Academy. Mr. Marcus graduated magna cum laude from Allegheny College. His undergraduate degree in Psychology emphasized the psychology of learning and the physiology of behavior. Mr. Marcus joined NHA after a successful career in the pharmaceutical industry, where he designed and implemented medical education programs that changed health care paradigms and impacted millions of lives.
In addition to his training in Psychology, Mr. Marcus earned his MBA from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia.
Veronica McCue, Ed.D., is Principal of New Horizon Academy. Dr. McCue’s career in Exceptional Student Education is unparalleled.
Dr. McCue graduated from Marymount Manhattan College with degrees in Special Education and Child Psychology. She earned her Master’s in Educational Leadership at the C.W. Post College of Education in Long Island, and her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from NOVA Southeastern University. Dr. McCue is also certified by the Asperger Center for Education and Training.
As Academic Director, Dr. McCue designs programs and curricula that improve the education of students who learn differently. She also trains our staff to more effectively teach to our students.
Diann Bacchus is Associate Director of New Horizon Academy.
A career educator with a Master’s degree in Exceptional Student Education from the American College of Education in Chicago and over 80 hours of postgraduate work, Mrs. Bacchus has brought passion to her work at NHA for over 10 years. Mrs. Bacchus teaches Social Studies and assists with school administration.
Teaching Staff: The members of the New Horizon Academy teaching staff meet or exceed all state standards for educators, are all experts in either subject matter or teaching
