Student Profile
What kinds of students do well at New Horizon Academy? The short answer is, “Students who thrive when they are in small classes where they get personal attention.”
We have some students with learning disabilities like dyslexia; others have processing disorders. Some have ADD or ADHD; they can stay focused in a smaller class. We have a few with Asperger’s and milder forms of autism; they not only get academic support, they get to enjoy a welcoming and comfortable social atmosphere. Some of our students are just “reluctant learners,” or children who simply do not like school.
When placed in a supportive environment where they get personal attention, our students can focus on their studies, improve their grades and self-confidence, and enjoy success.
